I am currently working on writing a chapter for a book called ‘Handbook of smart textiles and textiles electronics’ edited by Stefan Schneegass (University of Stuttgart) and Oliver Amft, (University of Passau).

The chapter presents an e-Textile Interaction Design strategy that is based on defining the material-specificity of e-Textiles as its ability to deform in ways that match the expectations we have of textile materials. I have been doing an in-depth literature review to include in the chapter that also forms the basis for my research at the ArcIntex ETN project. I will also include some reflections and insights from the empirical work done so far in exploring textile interactions and e-Textile interfaces.

This chapter is in an evaluation process, and if selected, would be published in Autumn 2016.
